Description:
Enjoy scuba diving in tropical paradise and join critical conservation programs as an active member of the GVI Marine Research team in the Indian Ocean. You will spend your time diving upon the coral reef, collecting data on coral and fish species, as well as taking part in the exciting work of whale shark migration surveys, turtle nesting research and in-water turtle, octopus and lobster surveys. The expedition base is set within the Cap Ternay Marine National Park, on the main island, Mahe. This is a rare opportunity to become involved in internationally respected research, supporting GVI’s local partners and the Seychelles government. Not only will you be diving in an incredible area but you will receive comprehensive training, be part of an international team and enjoy the experience of a lifetime on these beautiful islands. Expedition members are needed for periods of 5 and 15 weeks, internships for an extra 10 weeks are also available.
