More about your RTW travel route & destinations
Settle down in Singapore for your first stop on the agenda. An extremely modern city (and famously clean) there may not be so many rickshaws and opium dens anymore, but longstanding traditions still shine through with a mixture of Chinese, Malay and Indian cultures highly evident.
On to Bali, a traveller's paradise of pristine beaches, tropical forests, and fantastic sunsets; you can sunbathe away some lazy days in this sun-drenched serenity.
Next, head up to Darwin, the springboard to
Australia. You'll see some extensive parts of
the Australian outback and some very big crocodiles, as well as flat plains, billabongs,
rivers, waterfalls, ancient Aboriginal rock paintings, and an abundance of wildlife. By
contrast Sydney is a vibrant city with a modern cosmopolitan buzz - an ideal place to
stop off and earn some Aussie dollars, especially if you have a
Working Holiday Visa.
Over to
New Zealand and you'll be exploring the majesty of the South and North Islands, floating through Milford Sound, hiking the ancient Fox Glacier and probably turning your knuckles white in Taupo - the action adventure capital of NZ.
Time to get your breath back as you touch down in Santiago for a
South American adventure. Make time to befriend the people of Chile and experience street life under the stunning backdrop of the Andes.
After taking time to explore the Inca Trail and catch your breath at Maccu Piccu, a final stop in Lima will give you the chance to indulge in a little more nightlife before you board the plane back homeward.
