Step off the plane at JFK and start your global adventure in New York. Home to the famous clubs of Manhattan, Central Park and the ubiquitous yellow taxi, you'll feel like you're on a film set. Take a helicopter ride around the city and get up close to the Statue of Liberty (or if you'd prefer to keep your feet on the ground, a champagne limo ride) before heading out to eat on the Upper East Side.

On to colourful Mexico, it's a world away from the bright city lights of the Big Apple. Lounge in a hammock or explore Mayan ruins near the jungle before experiencing a true Tequila sunrise.

As you land in Lima, you'll feel the mystical magnetism of a city that's set in another time. Between May-October a soft blanket of dreamlike mist descends. The truly friendly locals will welcome you and you'll soon be right at home in the Peruvian bars playing folk and Creole tunes. Santiago, Chile is one of South America's most modern cities. The nightlife is exceptional and you can ski in the mountains or surf at Valparaiso Beach.

Next stop Auckland, a leisurely and sophisticated city that's easy to explore on foot. Head to Karangahape Road for the cafes, bars and boutique stores or find the Waitakere ranges for a feast of stunning waterfalls, beaches and panoramic views.

When you've had your fill of waterfalls and whales, hop up to Australia. Brisbane is the capital of the sunshine state, a cosmopolitan city with a relaxed feel. Here you're at the gateway to Australia's best beaches - cruise up the Gold Coast, surf Morton Bay and sail in Fraser Island.

Lastly Beijing beckons. Channel into the Yin and the Yang of China and witness how much of the old has been making way for the new. When you're done with the buzz of Beijing, escape for some peace on the Great Wall of China. There's 10k to trek, so you'll need a little burst of energy before relaxing on your flight home!
