Description
The position you will be assigned depends on your medical background. The large, well-equipped hospital in Beijing provides this excellent opportunity to those who are graduated or final year medical students to take this project. For the duration of this programme, you will be provided a unique insight into traditional Chinese Medicine such as acupuncture and massage (tuina), as well as major western medical practices.
You will be assigned to work under the watchful supervision of an experienced, English-speaking doctor or nurse specializing in volunteers' respective, chosen medical field. For the duration of the programme, this healthcare professional will work as your supervisor. You will initially learn about the medical system in China before spending time in various departments at the hospital in Beijing. Depending upon your length of stay and preference, you'll also visit various specialized departments.
