POTENTIAL CHARITY TRIP TO GHANA

Program: 2-WEEKS COMMUNITY WORK AND 1-WEEK TRAVELS

Departure and end Accra

International Airport: Accra-Ghana

Language Requirements: English and Other

Accommodation and meals: Hostel, host Family, local and international foods 3 times a day by host Family / restaurant.

Special need: Need to be in good health for hiking

Do you want to join in providing accommodation for the vulnerable/orphans children in Ghana? I tell you the truth, whatever you did for these vulnerable children in Ghana, you did it for God." Matthew 25:48. We are taking this opportunity to invite you all to join this valuable project we are doing for orphans in Ghana. We are also looking for people who can help raised funds to support this construction of the new Orphanage accommodation we are providing these children.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS 2010

Our uniquely designed 2 weeks Community Voluntary Work which consist of orphanage teaching /care givining / continuation of new orphanage construction and 1-week Travel program enables people to travel to beautiful and exotic Ghana to do a 2-weeks community volunteer work (support to vulnerable children/orphans, building new orphanage construction as community development in Ghana), cultural immersion and travel 1-week to some of the unique tourist attractions in Ghana for sightseeing.

This program offers people a unique opportunity to give a helping hand to vulnerable/orphans in Ghana by way of joining a community project for 2-weeks ,this includes :

Orientation about the local culture, history/religious issues. Orphanage Work/orphanage construction project and teaching.

After two weeks of community volunteer work, Participants begin 1 week tour to some of the unique and popular tourist attractions centre across Ghana.

PROGRAM ITNERY 2010

DAY 0: Airport pick up and hotel transfer. Participants rest the first night in Accra.

DAY 1-6: Travel from Accra to Kumasi the next morning, orientation in the office which covers safety issues, climate expectation, host family conditions, working project etc.

After breakfast volunteers will be transferred to their various project sites. Whiles there, they would be orientation by local project staff, discussion of job responsibilities and other issues?

The 7days work consist of care giving, teaching English, sanitation, cleaning, washing, playing games, draw pictures,painting,construction,conservation and some extracurricular activities and community development.

DAYS 7 -14 (GHANA TOUR PROGRAM)

DAYS 7-9: ASHANTI TOUR:

Participants will visit some unique and popular tourist attraction centre of the Ashanti region.

A visit to Bonwire the famous historical town of Kente colorful clothes.

A visit to the Ashanti palace museum, Ntonso Adinkra village, Ahwiaa Craft village, Military museum, the national Cultural Center, the central market, Owabi bamboo forest, Bobbie forest and Lake Bosomtwe,One of the biggest and natural lakes in the world. Participants may spend a night at the luxurious hotel near the Lake (Kessben Hotel)

Participants will be transferred to Cape coast on the 13TH DAY after dinner.

DAYS 9-11: TAMALE TOUR:

Depart for Mole National Park/Elephant Dome

Mole is a wildlife observatory. Here you can watch creatures in their natural habitat from observation centers.

Overnight at Game Reserve Hotel or Similar

DAYS 11-13: CAPE COAST TOUR:

Cape Coast, formerly known as the Gold Coast, used to be the capital city of Ghana.

Tour Elmina Castle and Slave Dungeons, visiting shopping centers/markets and the exotic beaches of Cape coast

A visit to the Kakum Forest has one of the few remaining canopy walks in the world. The bridges overlook Kakum Forest and its wildlife. The walks, hanging over 100m in the air may test the bravery of the group, as they cross 7 bridges total. Make a stop over at the Hans Cottage crocodile pond.

A visit to the Cape Coat castle.

Overnight at Elmina Beach Resort or Similar

DAY 13-14: TRAVEL TO ACCRA, TOUR, PROGRAM ENDS AND DEPARTURE.

Participants will be transferred to Accra the next morning, day tour of Accra. Visits to the National art center, cultural center, and National museum and trekking through the big markets of Accra/shopping, visit the Kwame Nkrumah memorial park.

Program ends at 2pm and report writing.

What fee covers?

  • Airport meeting and hotel transfer for the first night of arrival.
  • Air-conditioned Transportation throughout your stay in Ghana.
  • Three (3) time’s daily local and international meal ,home -stay and hotel accommodation Free internet service in our office, Donation to project, Orientation, placement, assistance and adjustment, program and volunteer co-ordination/ staff support
  • Escort to the airport after Program, R.V.O shall present a letter of recommendation and certificate to participants after Program.
  • Transportation, food and hotel accommodation during tours.

What fee does not cover:

  • Entering fees for any tourist place/ Smoking /drinks and clubbing
  • Air ticket
  • Buying gifts/souvenirs for friends and family members back home.
  • Insurance for lost of languages.
