Location : Situated at 40 km of Gap, 90 km of Grenoble
Work : Vaunières village is a national and international meeting centre, situated at the level of 1200m. Throughout the whole year, it hosts people from very different social and cultural backgrounds. Every year, international volunteers, families, disabled people, youngsters coping with social issues or tourists come during their free time to take part in the restoration of the village, to take a holiday or to organize a specific project (theatre plays, seminars…). Work consists in the cleaning of the banks of the river, which surround Vaunières. There are many opportunities to organise cultural evenings, walks in the mountains, to swim in the stream and to participate in local events taking place in the villages around.
