Your entry into this competition is deemed as acceptance of the following competition terms & conditions.


Prize

Immediate receipt of iPod upon winning the competition. Monthly prize money will be paid on receipt of journal on time (1st of each month) and approximately 500 words in length. iGapyear reserves the right to edit articles, and to refuse an article & withhold prize money if copy is unsuitable for publishing in the public domain. Although we do want you to write about your real life experiences and will allow you to be provocative with your content, no inappropriate or offensive content should be submitted.


Competition Details

  1. The competition is organised by Houdini Media Ltd, 170 Appin Crescent, Dunfermline, KY12 7TX.
  2. Houdini Media reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these rules at any time without notice. Amended rules will be displayed on the competition page on iGapyear.com.
  3. The winner will be selected on the basis of their writing merit, and will represent the opinion of the judge elected by Houdini Media Ltd. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to this competition, the decision of Houdini Media Ltd shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  4. You must have a UK address to receive the iPod and a UK bank account to receive your prize money.
  5. The competition is open to those aged 17 or over. Entrants under 18 years of age must obtain authorisation from a parent or guardian before entering this competition and must provide an e-mail address for their parent or guardian as a condition for entry. Houdini Media Ltd reserves the right to request evidence of such authorisation and to invalidate entries or the prize winner(s) if the appropriate authorisation is or was not provided.
  6. By entering the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.
  7. The competition begins on 1 December 2007 and ends at midnight on 31 May 2008. Intellectual Property Rights & Privacy
  8. Houdini Media Ltd reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and their submitted articles in any publicity. In consideration of Houdini Media Ltd agreeing to consider entrants to the competition, each entrant hereby assigns to Houdini Media Ltd the complete copyright and all other rights in any entry, which shall be for the full period of copyright. Houdini Media Ltd shall be free to assign such rights to third parties.
  9. We respect your privacy and will only display those details that are necessary to declare our competition winners. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.
  10. Winning and runner up articles will be published on the iGapyear.com website. Entrants accept that Houdini Media Ltd has the right to publish additional article entries which we feel are commendable, without any obligation to award a prize for their use.
